Welcome!

The German Heritage Circle, or GHC, is a German-American social club in Western North Carolina. The GHC has been incorporated since 2003 as a Nonprofit organization with the purpose of preserving and promoting the German heritage, culture and language.

In October of 2000, our German club had its first meeting in the home of Ralph and Monika Garlick. About ten people attended that meeting and most of them are still members today.

The German Heritage Circle meets once a month (except June and December) to conduct a social hour followed by dinner. In June, our members enjoy a summer picnic in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Around Advent our members and guests attend GHC’s Christmas concert and reception. Our Skat Club and Damen Stammtisch meets twice a month at various places.

New members and visitors are always wecome. So feel free to contact us at any time, or just stop by at one of our monthly meetings.
